Describe a time you received a call from someone you do not know in a public place

You should say:
– When it happened
– Why he/she called you
-And explain how you felt about it
(When it happened)

Today, I’m going to talk about a time I received a call from a stranger, which happened in a hospital. It was almost two years ago, when I visited my grandfather in the city hospital, who had just luckily recovered from a slight stroke. This incident came as a shock to my whole family, because he was always in good health back then. At that time, I was going to sit an important exam at university the next day, so I rushed to the hospital worriedly. When I almost reached my grandfather’s patient room, I received an unexpected call.

(Why he/she called you)

Surprisingly, it was from a doctor. At first, I wondered whether he called to explain my grandfather’s current condition in detail. However, it turned out that he happened to pick up my wallet in the parking lot and he had managed to trace my phone number from one of my cards. He assured me that he was the first person to see it, and told me to go to his office to take my wallet back before lunch.

(And explain how you felt about it)

Needless to say, I felt extremely lucky, because I only realized the problem after the doctor had contacted me. Actually, the small sum of money in the wallet was of little significance to me. Indeed, I was more grateful for not losing my ID card for the upcoming examination. Without it, I would not have been allowed to take the exam. It was such a valuable and unforgettable call from a stranger.
